Select Campaign
Overview
This object provides a means to select a campaign for use by subsequent workflow objects.
1. An Example Scenario
This object is useful in defining the campaign name for use by other objects, e.g. If a contact centre that works across multiple timezones has a workflow that includes an Apply Schedule object, then a preceding Select Campaign object ensures that the validation of the working hours is done using the campaign time zone, rather than the default organisation time zone.
2. Add Workflow Object
Open the Workspace.
Select Workflows from the Resources menu.
Select a workflow from the list displayed (you can also create a new one).
Click the Preview icon next to your selected workflow. A schematic representation of the workflow is displayed.
Click the Add New Object icon The New Workflow Object dialog opens.
Choose Select Campaign from the drop-down selection list.
When including Select Campaign in your automated workflow, add the following details:
Field Name | What you should do |
---|---|
Workflow Object Title | Enter a meaningful name for your new object. |
Campaign Name | Select the campaign to which this workflow will be assigned. Subsequent workflow objects (in this workflow) will then be able to reference and use parameters that are specific to this campaign, such as Campaign Data Fields. |
Click Save to keep your new object and to return to the Workflow Builder.
